The music video has a performance aspect about, as Chris Brown and Co are all are dancing to the music. As well as, Chris Brown trying to give the audience an insight into the message he’s giving.

The music video is a very basic and clear. The outfits of all the targets involved are very modern and popular pieces of clothing. The use of a snapback is used through out the video and most of the artists are wearing one.  The music and lyrics are positive and the lighting used is very positive, bright and electric which provides a positive vibe about the song.

In the Loyal video there aren’t many editing techniques used there are cuts used throughout the video but no fades or low mos. This helps the video look more fluent and no look so disjoined. 

Camera Techniques

There are many different types of camera shots and angles throughout the music video. The types of camera angles that are used mainly medium shots, this could be due to having a lot of performing scenes. Throughout the video Chris Brown is dancing with other dances behind him.

There is also a birds eye view shot used in the video, this is used towards the end of the video to show off the power of Chris Browns voice. There is also a low angle shot and this is used to show off the dominance of Chris Brown and the male sex as the lyrics used at this point were “ I don’t f*ck with broke bi*ches.” This camera shot angle compliments that lyric by shows the power of the male race. This could be linked the theorist Vladimir Propp who identified the narrative theory and that trailers/ music videos have different types of characters to show the story. This music video isn’t any different, as Chris Brown is telling a story about his experiences with a female and how they aren’t loyal to the man. The narrate charter s that can be identified in this video are the villain who is the female and Chris Brown as the hero.

Artist Presentation

Chris Brown in this video has a very out going and fashionable outfit. There’s a link to the entire artist in the video as they are all dressed in a fashionable manner. Such as all three artists are wearing snapback, which are very popular at the moment.
